BAUTEC uses a third party to qualify Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection services. Production of these services are performed in-house under close supervision of a professional engineer allowing us to maintain our high level of quality and coordination.
The fast-paced construction industry requires a team of design professionals that deliver accurate and efficient engineering designs for building systems. BAUTEC is a prime source of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design services throughout the southeast.
Our services include engineering design for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical power and lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems, among others.

We provide Fire Alarm design intent documents that define the fire alarm system requirements for the fire alarm vendor to prepare the detailed shop drawings. Our services include defining the type of fire alarm system, preparing plan drawings showing locations of initiating devices and notification appliances, and preparing the sequence of operation.

Third Party QA/QC
Need help reviewing a set of plans? BAUTEC provides third party QA/QC services to other engineering firms. We run your designs through the same rigorous QA/QC process that our projects go through so you can be assured that your designs are ready for construction. We provide tailored QA/QC based on your budget from limited code compliance review to full project coordination and constructability review.
Third Party COMcheck
We’ll prepare your COMcheck for you. Sometimes the mundane task of entering the project details into the COMcheck software can take your design team away from focusing on the more important project tasks; that’s where we come in. Sub the COMcheck report to us to allow you to focus on the more important tasks.
Building Assessments
Getting ready to purchase or lease a building or tenant suite? Let us evaluate the condition of the MEP infrastructure and the suitability of those systems based on your intended use so you know exactly what to expect before purchasing/leasing the space. Avoid a costly mistake by hiring us in advance.
Security Lighting
Whether it’s a financial center, remote ATM, gas station, or other facility where owner or statutory requirements dictate enhanced security lighting, BAUTEC is there for you. We specialize in the design of security lighting systems. Did someone else design your security lighting? No problem, BAUTEC can serve as the owner’s rep to review the lighting design and provide third party after-hour site verification of the light levels to ensure your facility meets owner, local, state, and federal requirements.
